Today, people do not want blacks and whites to marry. According to some texts, In 1967 the case Loving vs. Virginia said "under our constitution, the freedom to marry, or not marry, a person of another race resides with the individual and cannot be infringed by the State." People claim it's not racist. It's just they don't think it's right. They want one race to marry their own race. For example, Blacks marry Blacks, Asians marry Asians.
Also, In integrated schools, blacks and whites decides to segregate themselves from each other. There were very little groups of friends of whites and blacks. For example, at the lunchroom, blacks sit on one table while whites sit on the other. Also in AP classes most of the people in there are white and only 3 blacks. The 3 blacks decided to sit next to each other in the front. In classes that needs improvement, mostly blacks are in it and barely any whites.
In my opinion, this needs to change. Even though blacks and whites are not harming each other, they need to learn how to get along and how great it is for blacks and whites to be friends.

The whites and blacks do need to get along.Everybody is equal.
ReplyDeleteIf they do get along why won't they talk to each other? They act like they don't know each other. Which they don't really get along.
